My current research focuses on investigating design methodologies and techniques to facilitate mental well-being through affective interactions and multisensory design.

  • Reina Mun is a designer and researcher who works with machine learning, physical computing, and multisensory modalities to embed affective experiences in physical and sensory design.

    Reina received her MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a graduate fellow, where her research focused on developing strategies for enactive interactive systems that respond dynamically to users’ affective and behavioral patterns. Before that, she graduated with honors from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, earning a BArch and RIBA Part 1 certification.

    Alongside her research, Reina is a lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design and teaches at Northeastern University. Previously, she was a visiting studio critic at the Architectural Association. Professionally, she has experiences working as a project manager, design technologist, and researcher at design and media art studios in Boston, Seoul, New York, Berlin, and London.
